Knitting and Stitching Show, RDS, Dublin

Knitting and stitching? Yes, at heart I am 82 years old and this year really did not  disappoint! Stalls are far as you could see laden with card and scrapbooking materials, books, wool, art, kits and my favourite- fabric!! Thousands of yards of fabric in every colour, texture and print! The cheeky chappies at Fabric Time, www.fabrictime.co.uk had an amazing selection but were so busy you couldn’t get a good photo!

Quilting is one of my things to do! I’m not very good at cutting straight lines so they end up quite wonky but made with love!!
I ended up buying way to many fat quarters, although I could’ve done with loads more..

The art that was exhibited was amazing, the things people can do with textiles is amazing!

These were by far the most amazing pieces of art I have seen in a very long time!!
‘Kate’s Plaice, the Stitchmongers’, Katie Jenkins (@KnittedArt on Twitter) are based in Brighton AND are so lovely!!
Who doesn’t need a sequined sardine or jellyfish on their wall?!

I’m biased in my opinion here but Create with Kate, www.createwithkate.com, stand was full of the best things and I could’ve spent my tonsils. Instead I was very good and left with an album and some fabric! I will post more pictures of the materials when the  projects are finished!!

At the end of the day I met this wonderful lady who was completely unaware how cool she actually is! She told me she bought her jumper in Penneys for €20 because it felt nice!! She didn’t know why people commented on it!

I would throughly recommend going if you are in anyway crafty and if you like what you see here check out the website for more amazing crafts! www.knittingandstitchingshow.com/dublin

Special mention goes to Flynns of Castlemaine who made the journey so easy! Check out their Facebook page for any bus/coach hire you may need! https://goo.gl/Ei1kkg
